WIll Poundland/Poundstretcher let me return this present?

Oh God, I have been given the most horrible Christmas present by a member of my family. It’s a crappy white ceramic (or whatever it is) cat ornament, it’s not even cute, it’s quite creepy. It’s from a house&home department from somewhere, so I looked up the EAN and it points to Poundstretcher, but there’s a house & home section in Poundland. Those companies are linked right? I want to take it back and get a refund for it, even it is only a £1, I’d rather spend that pound on anything other than this thing!

Soz, but as far as I am aware, from a recent incident myself, where the goods I had purchased was even faulty, you def need a receipt to return goods to poundstretchers for either a an exchange or refund. Howver as it is christmas it may be worth asking at your local branch anyway as there may just be some goodwill left out there!!! It would only be an excahnge they’d give you though!
However if it was poundland that your ornament was from , that is a slightly different story. They will exchange, no probs with that but no refund without the receipt.
I suggest you take this little cat ornament out for a walk to these stores and try and not bring him back home! Like all things in life these days ‘ You don’t ask, You don’t get! Good Luck!
