How do I remove the tile blocks on the wall of my bathroom?
I have old plastic plugs in my tile and I eliminate them you can drill a new hole nearby. – The previous owner had his arms around roll of toilet paper too. Thank you!

How do you remove ceramic tile from bathroom walls?
These tiles are original to the circa 1950′s home and are on smooth plaster walls. What tools would be required and how much time would be estimated for this project ( it is a small half bath with tile half way up the wall)? Please no advice to regrout as the green color must go. Thanks.
STOP! I really screwed up a few years back with this exact issue. I went for a fast, quick fix and found a few problems…
1. Seriously consider having the tile regrouted and then re-colored by a professional. It’s very common and they have very effective new paint’s and stains…. pick a color and It Will Look Like NEW!
2. If you must have it removed, hammer and chisel… (my other mistake follows): I scraped the tile and then in an effort to avoid some minor work and save a few bucks I belt sanded the walls behind the tile to remove the large chunks of glue/grout. Then I found myself, covering the the walls with large amounts of drywall mud. In the end… the walls look crappy and rough.
3. Remove the walls behind the tile and install new drywall. It’s cheap and a lot less work.
