Hamster toys ceramic?
Would it be prudent to ceramics) Clay hamster toys (and if I do, I'll paint (enamel) or just fire, or he might just let it dry or imported?

What should be put in a ferret’s cage plus what is an ideal size cage for one ferret (max two)?
I know there’s the obvious like sleeping area (what would that be? Pieces of fabric? What?), litter tray (what kind of litter is best? Scented? Clumping?) What kind of litter tray? Do they like the ones with the tops on them or completely open? What should the cage be lined with? Sawdust? Old blankets? Food bowls obviously. I’m guessing that strong ones made of ceramic or similar would be best over plastic as the ferret/s could knock them over and spill their food and water everywhere.
What kind of toys do they like? Are there any big no-nos? Oh and do they like those multi-storey cages with the little ramps etc or is it best to stick to a large one story cage? Also when going to sleep does putting a towel or something over their cage settle them down? I know it works with birds I know ferrets are NOTHING like birds but does it work with them?

As far as the Cage goes, i’m not too sure which they would prefer as mine live outside in a large shed with a built in upper level and they seem to love this, so i would suggest having at least 2 levels, mine sleep up top and do most other things down below.
sleeping area is pretty much whatever you have, at the moment in the cold weather mine have an old duvet, but that’s a bit grubby and needs to be thrown out now, but anyway they usually have old jumpers of mine, offcuts of carpet, soft cat igloo beds, whatever really as long as it is soft and warm they are happy.
I tried a litter tray for a while but one of my girls just loved to flip it over, so i had to give up that idea, now they just have a corner they go in. I use shredded paper all over the shed base, they seem fine with it.
yes ceramic or metal food bowls are best (the flipping thing again).
i would suggest a water bottle rather than a water bowl as they are very playful animals and if they don’t flip the water over, then they will nock something in to it.
