I put 12×12 ceramic tiles in my kitchen wall.?
Do you have any tips for me before I start?? Cmon – please help here.
Do not be afraid to ask for help. Your local hardware store will be happy to answer questions for you, if they have enough help field. All other answers are all good. I have a saw to cut the edges as needed and that was the best that I buy I made for the mosaic work. Maybe you can find someone who has one. It will save much time and wins the hand cutting cutting former technician of people have used for years! I just had the tile wall bathroom shower too much, good luck!
Is there something I can cover my ceramic wall tiles with?
We have ceramic tiles in our kitchen that are a tan color. The previous owner put this tile everywhere, on the walls and the counters. I was wondering if they have created a product that can go directly over the tile, rather have to remove all of them on the walls. Doing the counters are no biggie, but I am worried about doing damage to the walls, as this is a really old house and we might get more then we planed trying to remove the tiles from the walls.
Your right about the damage that may happen trying to remove them. If the tiles are over 30 years old there a fair chance you can take the off w/o to much damage because the old mastics dried out and lost their bond. The newer mastics hold real well and don t dry out.Can you go over them w/ new tile? The only issues may be the outlets ( longer screws) and any open ends ( maybe just a heavier grout line there. GL
