Complete metal or ceramic implants can be in India for an operation of hip replacement?
If a question it is not clear what you need to know. Some people go abroad to undergo certain medical procedures. Hip and rejuvenation are just two of them. Generally, those who resort to expensive medical procedures found in the Third World, because they do not health insurance and can not afford afford to pay out of pocket for doing the procedure by the house. You can further the question if you are interested. Sometimes called "medical tourism". Looking for that phrase in any good search engine will report a number of "hits".
Would any professional out there be able to help me with this question.?
I am 71 and am about to have a Total Hip Replacement Operation. What is the best prosthesis to have Polythene + Metal or Ceramic + Metal or Metal to Metal. Should I also insist that the prosthesis come from a reputable company like Johnson & Johnson and not a Chinese model. Would you know the approximate cost of any or all of the above.
I expect that the Doctor is not going to like me trying to make my own choice if there is any argument should I just leave…I am a bit jittery. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I have metal/ highly x-linked poly Biomet hips. At your age this should be a good enough bearing that will outlive you. If you were a lot younger the answer might be different because young men can be hard on fake hips.

BTW, the most important part of the surgery is the surgeon’s skill and experience, NOT the prosthesis itself.
