im having electrical problems with 75 Dodge trucks. When you turn the key nothing happens. battery is good.?

when you turn the I do not get key electric. the battery is strong and the coil is new. cables are new. I can do to activate the starter relay under the hood, but I have to power to the coil and the distributor. the son look good. Perhaps my diet or something else? Alternator is new and the starter relay. I had to replace the ballast or ceramic block and the wing DriverId well. when I start the truck the starter relay if the key is on. But after the truck has no power when I turned the key back to the beginning. what in the world do I do? by the way which, voltage regulator may have nothing to do with him?

As best I can tell from reading your problems, I think it can be to answer his own question and not true. You say you do not have the power voltage on IGN. on. In addition, you said that you are able to start jumping through the truck relay Boot, which eliminates the ignition switch. Put a new switch, the old must have a bad contact inside. It sounds like you are measuring and not finding the voltage on the switch but do not think the switch could be bad?

what is this part on my 97 Malibu LS? and do you know it’s function?

Ok. it is broken, i know that. Here’s a description of what it looks like. U- shaped, about 5 inches in length, has 2 electric leads that go up somewhere into the engine compartment(?), seems to be made of ceramic, mounted on another block of the same material on the back of the front frame, drivers side. I can see that the U-shape part is broken, and one of the leads is broken too. I would replace it if i had some kind of CLUE what is was! An element? Some kind of ground? Induction coil? Can you help? I have pictures but can’t post them here. Thanks for trying!
OK! try this. thanks

It’s the Daytime Running Light Resistor (DRL). This is what keeps your headlights dim during the day.

Scroll down about halfway down this page for a photo.

I did a quick search at Auto Zone and NAPA. It looks like you’ll have to go to the dealer to get this part.
