ceramic brake pads squeak
ceramic brake pads New squealing at low speeds (20-25 mph), but not at highway speeds …?
I installed new Ceramic brake pads and rotors on my Mitsubishi Galant 04. I also put about 500 miles on them (after installing the new ..). I saw this "strange" behavior. When the car is cold, starting tomorrow, without grinding at all, but after 3-4 miles, there is noise Screech at low speed (Soon, perhaps ahead ..)…. No birdies at high speeds, ie when the drive on the roads …. also led me to the local bank Firestone to replace the brakes, but stood firm and said: "I was the first customer to complain that the grinding of ceramic brakes ….!!!"….. can someone please give me some clues ..??? Thank you Amit
They forgot to put the cry against the clips or glue on the back of the new pads.
Overpriced @ Tires Plus, Charged $318 w/ coupon for new ceramic brake pad, brake system flush & 24 mth warrant
I think i was overcharged. In their service booklet, they had a “plus brake service” that includeded brake system flush for aroud $250. Service advisor charged me for the brake flush. I had a 01 Honda accord V6. Was I overcharged? Yet the front wheels were still squeaking.
At my company (MIdas) we would have charged $39 for a brake flush, ceramic pads would have been approx $160 installed and would have carried a lifetime warranty on the pads and 1 year on labor.
