Can someone help me learn to get along with my parents?
I am 17 and I am seriously considering to leave the house because I can not bear to be with my parents more. You accuse me of things I did not do (2 cups and other utensils Cooking missing – accused me!) Not heard a single thing to say and make me feel ugly, stupid, lazy and guilty, every little thing starts to beat … the list is long. Dad plans constantly camping and hunting trips never follows forward to what promises he will do me. Mom says I'm pathetic and does not deserve to go (after five minutes, she says I can not do anything to save my mind.) Please help me!
You can not rely on their parents. Bring your own plan and the work itself. Getting a job after school and the bank both money as possible. It is a legitimate excuse to get out of the house. Put a key lock the door of your closet and turn into a safe. Start expectancy "Chest" in your closet and start buying little things around the house you find for sale. When you graduated at 18, you can leave. See if you can network a roommate situation or find an apartment in Nice in a neighborhood garage-sufficient Craigslist.org to 18 years, to you can follow the line and maintain a profile on that below … clean up after you, do homework, study and do not get into trouble.
Why didn’t he get me anything for Christmas?
This was our first Christmas with my moms new boyfriend. I think we get along really well, I helped him pick presents for my mom. He got her camping gear, hiking gear, a new jacket, and a beautiful Ring. He even asked me to wrap them for him. I didn’t have a dad growing up and sort of thought we could be like a real family. So when the time came to open presents he didn’t get me anything. I got him a really cool sweatshirt and an electric coffee mug. He barely even talked to me and didn’t even say marry Christmas. He wouldn’t even look at me. My feelings are so hurt, I wanted so bad to get something from him just so I could feel like he was my family. Why do you think this happened?
We all live together and they have plans to wed in the future.
If he was cheap or didn’t have enough money, Why was he able to get my mom expensive stuff. I would have been happy with a card. It’s not like I wan’ted anything big. He has a great paying job. Why did he have to be so cold to me?
It is impossible to give a complete answer to your question bc we don’t know the entire circumstances of your sitch. I am not sure if your mom’s new bf lives with you and your mom. In the future, you might think of giving him his gift a wk or 2 before Christmas (wrapped up of course). He might not have thought that you were getting him anything so he didn’t get anything for you. Part of growing up (hey even I learn stuff daily and I have been an adult for a long time) is learning that there are some uncomfortable truths– 1) some bfs feel threatened by their gf’s kids and fear that the kids just take up the gf’s time and attention 2) BFs come and go. Some women have many bfs in a year 3) don’t depend on your mom’s bfs to be a dad to you. In the future, you can start your own family. OK, your husband won’t be your dad, but you will have a real family and hopefully, your husband will be kind to you and be a good friend, too. Try not to get pregnant when you are single (it’s tough). Take care of yourself.
