Beta alumina solid electrolyte sodium? (Sources needed)?
I asked this brilliant article a few days ago the one. I was hoping to engineer materials do know something. Now, I count on you use chemicals. 
I will try to indicate the construction my own sodium / nickel package thermal. The only problem I'm running on a source of Na-β "-alumina and / or their precursors. I like powder or paste form of sludge so that it can dictate the final shape and sintered for me. Does anyone have information on the sources of β-Na "-Alumina (Ready for the final treatment), or info / sources of precursors. (Β-alumina, aluminum oxide, sodium oxide) I found many sources of rust questionable quality aluminum, one or two sources of β-alumina, but no source of sodium oxide (NaO2) or Na-β "-Alumina.'ll Incorporate as a company looking for a man if necessary, but prefer to find sources that will be sold to a person in great quantity. I just need a dozen kilos of final product.

Reaction of Al2O3 with base?
What is the product of the reaction of Alumina with base
Here we can assume a base such as NaOH
Al2O3 is amphoteric, so the reaction with a base yields the aluminate
anion, which is [AlO3]-3.
The reaction is:
6NaOH + Al2O3 —–> 2 Na3[AlO3] + 3H2O
Please note that the aluminate anion has also been written variously as: [AlO2]- , [Al(OH)4]-, and [Al(OH)6]-3
This may be because the exact formula of the aluminate anion could
depend on pH and the amount of water present (ie – the anion’s concentration)
