Make Beautiful Curls With Flat Iron

Besides using the flat iron as a straightener, you can use flat iron to curl your hair and to create gorgeous, bouncy curls hairstyles too.

Methods

1. Pick the right flat iron which is thin and an inch-and-a half or less is best. For very curly or coarse, the device needs to get very hot, at least 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Stylers with rounded edges on the plates help prevent unnatural “dents” in your hair.

2. To prevent hair damage, apply a light gel containing a heat protector.

3. Slightly damp hair will not curl so, dry hair completely. A fine blowout provides you a smooth start for frizz-free curls.

4. Hold 1- to 2-inch sections of hair tightly about halfway through the strand and turn the flat iron one-and-a-half in the direction in which you require your curl.

5. Now, pull the flat iron through the lock while maintaining tension on the curl.

6. Repeat the process on small sections of hair until it’s all curled.

7. Use a hairspray to make your curls last longer. You can make use of aerosol hairspray to avoid over wetting the curls.

Warnings

This styling process is not suggested if you are trying to grow your hair long. It slows the procedure and can burn or pull out your hair.
Too much using the flat iron could damage your hair. Condition your hair well and use a completely ceramic iron.
To prevent you from getting burned, you may need someone to help you to do the styling at the back of your head.
Most flat irons come with two flat heated plates with plastic or some other heat resistant backing. Using them can keep the heat on the end too long and end up frying the ends of your hair. Hence, you don’t hold it there more than 10 seconds.
Never straighten wet hair unless you have specified straighteners.
Irons get extremely hot and can burn you.
Keep straighteners out of reach of small children.
